  • Featured TBR members: Volkswagen, Saint Thomas Health and Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLC
  • Summit sponsors and partners: TN Dept. of Education, TN Council of CTE, UT CIS, Constangy, SCORE, and TN Dept. of ECD
  • Re-engaged TBR Members in Policy Formation Align Current/Future Members on Issues
  • Surveyed dozens of TN companies on issues
  • Creating issue forums on Competitiveness,
    Education, and Health

TN Reconnect Promotional Campaign:
Helping Adults Get Post-Secondary Credentials

  • TBR Foundation received a $350,000 grant from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help adults “Reconnect” to finish college degrees
  • 64,094 adult Tennesseans visited the TN Reconnect website
  • 8,509 visitors got info and personal assistance toward re-enrollment

2016 Tennessee College Completion Academy:
Helping TN’s Future Workers Complete College

  • Nov. 17-18, 2016 – Nelson Andrews Leadership Center, Nashville
  • 160 attendees from 6 st. universities, 12 comm. colleges, & TCATs
  • Featured: 6 national experts; Board of Regents Act. Chan. David Gregory
  • Participants created 2016-2017 college-completion action plans for each institution
